Best Celebrity Wedding Dresses

The most important thing to know about celebrity weddings is that they are the most beautiful. Why? Because celebrities have access to all of the best things. They can afford to hire the best photographers, who will capture their wedding on film or in still photography and make it look like a dream come true. They can afford big weddings with many visitors to be present, which means their friends will be there to witness them get married with all those other amazing things. And perhaps most importantly: Famous people can afford the greatest outfits!

If you’re looking for your own dress designer, we suggest you start by asking your favorite celebs what designers they recommend (or just Google “best bridal designers”).

Amal Clooney’s Wedding Dress

It was a custom Oscar de la Renta gown with beading from French Chantilly lace. The brand has been worn by many celebrities, including Anne Hathaway and Julianne Moore. The dress was handcrafted by designer Georgina Chapman (of Marchesa), who collaborated with Amal on the design. It had an off-the-shoulder and silk fabric that cost $380,000 in total.

Royal Chic from Kate Middleton

For the wedding of the century, Kate Middleton chose a dress designed by Sarah Burton. Her gown had a lace bodice and full skirt, with a voluminous tulle veil that flowed behind her as she walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey in April 2011. The Duchess of Cambridge wore ivory and white satin gazar; hand-stitched with pearl detailing, it has an embroidered bodice with intricate lace detailing—and an incredibly long train (which reportedly took two hours to steam).

Glamourous Choice of Kim Kardashian

Her wedding frock was made by Riccardo Tisci, who has also designed outfits for Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. The outfit was a mermaid style with a long train and lace detailing that ran down the back of the gown. The bodice was made from organza, according to People magazine. The bride wore diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. Kardashian chose not to purchase her wedding clothes but had it custom made for her body type and style preferences, People reported.

British Vogue from Keira Knightley

In 2007, Keira Knightley married James Righton at an outdoor wedding in France. It was Valentino who helped make her clothes that featured a full skirt with strapless bodice, and a bolero jacket to cover her arms. The frock was made of silk, had a corset and a long train.

Audrey Hepburn’s Iconic Dress

It was a simple design with a high neckline and full skirt. The outfit was by Pierre Balmain, and Audrey accessorized with a pearl and diamond tiara that she had received as a gift from her husband. She also wore matching pearl drop earrings, as well as white satin shoes.

In American Style: Ciara

Ciara is one of the best-dressed women in Hollywood, so it’s no surprise that she looked amazing on her wedding date. The singer wore a Roberto Cavalli dress with thigh-high slit, which was perfect for her long legs and gave the frock an airy feel. Her bridal party followed suit with sleek black gowns that matched their bouffants and heels perfectly. The ceremony was held at The Grand Ballroom of The Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where Ciara wed fiancé Russell Wilson in front of 200 visitors who included Drake and Serena Williams. She entered the room to “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me,” which hit number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart when it was released by Diana Ross in 1970! Afterwards there was lots more dancing under twinkling lights thanks to celebrity event planner David Tutera—and who wouldn’t want to dance once they’ve seen this beautiful bride?

JL Dress

Jennifer Lopez’s wedding frock was not the most popular choice among fans, but it did have some major features that set it apart from the rest. First of all, she wore a mermaid style gown with a full skirt and train. The frock also had a sparkly belt around the waist and a v-neckline in front but an open back so that her hair could flow freely down it. Finally, Jennifer’s dress was off-white with long sleeves and an A-line shape (like most wedding dresses).
